It should always be a little darker then your skin tone. Then pick your finish. Cream, liquid, or gel gives a dewy look, and powder has a matte effect, says celeb makeup artist Gita Bass.   Apply like a pro: Use a brush. A big bronzer one works for powders and a foundation brush is best to precisely paint on gel or cream. Put it on before doing your eyes and lips. It could effect your color choices, says Bass. Take it up a notch. Add a flush. After bronzing, blend brush onto the apples of your cheeks. Increase luminosity. Put shimmery highlighter onto the tops of your cheekbones, says Bass.
